Protect Your Mind from Stress and Find Peace: T.D. Jakes

Insights

Embracing Change and Transformation

😌 “Jesus said my peace give unto me not the Peace of the world but the peace which passive all understanding this is the peace that you stand under you heard me yeah.”

πŸ’₯ “I do not want to get down to the end of the road and wonder what would have happened if I’d have pushed a little harder.”

πŸ’ͺ Taking care of ourselves physically and mentally is necessary, but recognizing that God is the ultimate foundation brings peace and stability to our lives.

🌍 I was called to preach during a global pandemic with people dying and getting sick and people in the hallways of hospitals and more expect up in funerals delayed for two weeks.

πŸ‡ Once a grape’s been crushed, you can never get the juice back in the grape – suggesting that the traumatic experiences we go through change us permanently.

🌱 Growth is impossible without disruption, just like planting a tree disrupts the soil.

πŸ‡ Just like a grape that goes through crushing, we must embrace change and transformation in order to become something greater.

Overcoming Fear and Doubt

πŸ™ Having faith in both the bad times and the good times is essential to overcome the voices of fear and doubt, and to believe in the unwavering goodness of God.

😰 The enemy uses fear and insecurity to prevent us from fully embracing and enjoying the blessings and goodness in our lives.

πŸ™ Jesus offers a peace that surpasses understanding, providing comfort and strength during challenging times.

Summary

TLDR: Jesus offers a peace that surpasses understanding and allows us to overcome stress and challenges in life.

  1. πŸ™ Jesus offers a peace that defies logic and stands strong against negative voices; have faith in God’s goodness, change your internal dialogue, and speak positive affirmations to overcome obstacles and receive miracles in life.

1.1 Jesus offers a peace that surpasses understanding, a peace that defies logic and stands strong against negative voices and doubts.

1.2 The fear and anxiety of losing everything can prevent us from fully enjoying and believing in the good times, but having faith in God’s goodness can help silence those negative voices.

1.3 Resting in what God has done and believing that it will last, despite the enemy’s attempts to terrify and undermine, is often more challenging than receiving the blessings and goodness in life.

1.4 Change your internal dialogue and speak words of faith to combat the negative voices that hinder your progress and prevent you from receiving miracles in your life.

1.5 Speak positive affirmations to yourself and silence the negative voices in your head in order to live your best life and overcome the pressures and obstacles that come your way.

  1. πŸ“ Surround yourself with positive people who uplift you, redefine your definition of excellence, and be mindful of the impact words can have on your life.

2.1 Your words have power, both positive and negative, and it is important to be mindful of who touches you and the impact they have on your life.

2.2 The meaning of words like “excellent,” “love,” and “loyal” can vary greatly depending on individual experiences and exposure, making communication challenging as assumptions may not align.

2.3 We need to redefine our definition of excellence and surround ourselves with people who uplift us rather than bring us down.

  1. πŸ’ͺ Push through haters, achieve success, and live a regret-free life by remembering God’s blessings.

3.1 The speaker emphasizes the importance of not allowing haters to bring you down and encourages pushing harder in order to achieve success and avoid regrets at the end of life.

3.2 Remembering what God has done becomes the foundation for living a life without regrets.

  1. πŸ™ Remembering God’s power and having courage in the face of trials helps protect our minds from stress and find peace in difficult times.

4.1 God is the foundation of our lives, even though we still have to take care of our daily tasks.

4.2 Remembering what God has done in the past becomes a point of reference to face the future and overcome trials and crises.

4.3 In these perilous times, we must protect our minds from stress and find peace by remembering the power of God and having the courage to continue despite threats.

  1. πŸ™ God wants to free and bless us abundantly, and we must remember His faithfulness as we face unprecedented challenges.

5.1 God not only wanted to free the Israelites from slavery, but also wanted to restore their wealth and bless them abundantly for generations to come.

5.2 We are chosen to go through a challenge that this country or the world has not seen in a hundred years, and we must remember what God has brought us through.

  1. πŸ“š Jesus offers a peace that surpasses understanding, allowing us to endure and overcome the overwhelming stress and challenges we face in the world.

6.1 No covid, no masks, no arguments or fights over data, no George Floyd, no racial combat; it’s crazy.

6.2 There is an overwhelming amount of stress in the world, but Jesus offers a peace that surpasses understanding, allowing us to endure and overcome the challenges we face.

6.3 We must embrace our faith with tenacity and trust that God will not let life crush us, even in the face of an invisible and ubiquitous enemy.

6.4 Being a leader is not about having a title, but about quantifiable metrics and the ability to move things from one place to another.

  1. πŸ“œ God fulfills His promises and calls Moses into Covenant, protecting him and giving him the courage to confront Pharaoh.

7.1 God kept his promise to Abraham even after his death, and now He is reminding Moses that He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and has become the God of the Israelites.

7.2 God calls Moses into Covenant by repeating his name twice, signifying that what is spoken will be done on Earth as it is in heaven.

7.3 God’s protection of Moses, despite attempts to kill him, was due to his purpose, which allowed him to be raised in Pharaoh’s house and gain the courage to confront Pharaoh.

  1. πŸ’‘ Embrace change and disruption as opportunities for growth, adapt to the future, and focus on spreading the gospel.

8.1 The COVID-19 pandemic has permanently changed our lives, and there will be no going back to the normal we once knew.

8.2 Change is inevitable and necessary for growth, and although it may be difficult to accept, embracing change allows us to overcome fear and experience a better future.

8.3 God disrupts us for a reason, as change cannot happen without disruption, just like how growth cannot occur without disruption.

8.4 Don’t let disruption become a distraction; instead, see it as an opportunity to find new ways to serve and think outside the box.

8.5 Prepare for the future and adapt to change, as technology is replacing jobs, and focus on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
